Terms and conditions.

  1. The personal data you give us will be used to process your application for awards provided by the Scarlett Arts Society CIC and our paid external assessors, who will sign up to a data-sharing agreement. We will only contact you in connection to this application. Your personal data will be kept by the Scarlett Arts Society CIC for up to 10 years and will only be used by us for the processing of your application and for evaluating this opportunity. It will not be passed on to or sold anyone else. If you want to be removed from the database you can email info@scarlettartssociety.org. You have the right to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office should you wish to complain about how your information has been handled.

  2. All information detailing how to submit an application to any Scarlett Arts Society CIC open calls, competitions or residencies forms part of these terms and conditions unless explicitly stated otherwise. It is a condition of application that all rules are accepted as final and that the artist(s) agree(s) to abide by these rules. The decision of the selectors is final and no correspondence will be entered into relating to the final decision. Submission of an application will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  3. All applications must be received by the advertised closing time and date.

  4. Copyright in all images submitted for this call for entries remains with the respective artists. The artists, however, give Scarlett Arts Society CIC permission to post submitted artworks to social media and the website during the period of the open call. Any sharing will be entirely collaborative and link directly to the artists’ website, social media profiles or both.

  5. Applications must not infringe the copyright of anyone else and artists will hold Scarlett Arts Society CIC, its Directors and staff members harmless from any claims in relation to their entry alleging that the entry infringes the personal or proprietary right of any other person.

  6. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt applications will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost applications and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

  7. Employees or contractors of Scarlett Arts Society CIC, or any person directly or indirectly involved in the running of the call for entries, or their direct family members are not eligible to apply for the award.

  8. Should the competition not receive enough entries to cover funding of the prizes, and without external funding from a sponsor or grant, a refund will be issued to all participants.

  9. Scarlett Arts Society CIC shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
